David Dingwall is an investigator with ADRBO. He is also an arbitrator and mediator with ADR Chambers. David’s practice consists of domestic and international arbitration and mediation in the areas of corporate/commercial, corporate governance, public policy, and labour law. David is on the Panel of International Commercial Arbitrators, appointed by the ICC National Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and is a founding member of the Toronto Arbitrators’ Society. David served as Canada’s Minister of Health, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, and was responsible for Canada Post, Canada Mortgage Housing, and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. He is also a former CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.
David has an LL.B. and B.Com. from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He has an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University College of Cape Breton. David attended Harvard Law School for Advanced Negotiation training and The Advocates’ Society Education Centre for Advanced Negotiation: Strategies for Lawyers. He has a certificate in Negotiation, Mediations and Conflict Resolutions from St. Mary’s University in Halifax. David was inducted into the Schulich School of Law’s Bertha Wilson Honour Society in 2013, recognizing his contributions to law and society.
